Anthony Benes, Director of Agronomy
As the Director of Agronomy, Anthony Benes is honored to be given such a role to build on the successes of the agronomy team and the rest of HEBGC staff.
Having grown up in the Colorado mountains, his career in the golf industry has taken him all over the country after graduating from Colorado State. He has spent the last 5 years in the mountains of southwest Montana, as superintendent of the Old Works Golf Course. He is not stranger to long winters and shorter golfing seasons. Prior to Montana, he spent 3 years in Irving, Texas, at the TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas. He was privileged to be a superintendent and manage the team that conditioned the course to host the PGA's annual Byron Nelson Tournament.
His passion is creating high quality playing conditions on the golf course. The science and processes that happen behind the scenes by the excellent agronomy team make playing conditions here unforgettable.
