Jason is a native of Colorado, born and raised on the Western Slope in Glenwood Springs. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a finance degree and a short stint in the banking world, he started his golf career at Battlement Mesa Golf Club and ended up spending 10 years there working his way up to Head Professional/General Manager. Since life is all about change, it was time to move to the big city, where he spent 5 years as the Head Golf Professional at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club. He joined Heritage Eagle Bend in the spring of 2019, excited to improve the operation and bring his years of service and expertise to the guests of HEB. Jason’s other passion is his family. His wife Christy, daughter Jaidyn and son Carter, and all the activities they’re involved in occupy the rest of his time!
Jason believes that every golfer has a unique swing and that it is important to remove the stigma that there is a swing mold that everyone can fit into. He feels it is very important to understand his students’ goals in order to create a plan of action that fits well with what the student is trying to accomplish. With solid fundamentals, such as grip, aim, stance and posture, a student can practice their way to a better game. You can only get out of the game what you put into it, so, if you expect to get better, practice and good work ethic is key.
