Joe martin executive chef


I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I have been a professional Chef for nearly twenty years after graduating from The California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. My career has taken me throughout California, Hawaii, Arizona, and now Colorado. After graduating from The Culinary Academy, I moved to Southern California to work for The Four Seasons Newport Beach property. The position led to an amazing opportunity which took me to Maui and The Four Seasons flagship property there. I spent thirteen of those years focusing on the Country Club industry.

My career in Country Clubs and Golf Clubs really took hold when I moved back to California from Maui and took a position at Monterey Peninsula Country Club, in Pebble Beach, host of the AT&T Pro-Am. Once my tenure in Pebble Beach was complete, I moved to Tucson, Arizona where I worked at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon as Executive Chef. I spent just under a year in Tucson before transitioning here to Denver where I spent the last four years at The Country Club at Castle Pines as Executive Chef.


My experience over the past years has instilled in me an understanding of what it takes to truly execute “country club cuisine”. While many may not know what “country club cuisine” is, I have found that it requires and understanding of almost all categories of dining to properly execute. In this industry, we are unique that our diners may eat with us multiple times in a week, and to keep them entertained and excited to come back, we must maintain not only variety, but consistency and freshness.

To be a truly unique and outstanding Chef in the club industry, I need to be able to present to my guests a feeling that they can visit a steakhouse, a gastropub, a quality seafood restaurant, an Italian diner, and many other categories all under one roof. Through a variety of not only ingredients but also different cuisines, I can create an experience that feels new and fresh every time you visit.


In my off time I enjoy time with my wife Erica and our children Dexter, Abigail, and Michael. Being a somewhat new father and new to Colorado, we are constantly adventuring out and around Colorado seeing the sights. I enjoy snowboarding, golf (of course), and biking.

I am beyond thrilled to have joined the team here at Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club! I look forward to seeing you and hope you all enjoy what my team and I will bring to the table.
